In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Clarksburg Medical Group is taking a collaborative community approach to providing the influenza (flu) vaccine. We are joining forces with our colleagues in the Georgian Bay Family Health Team to centralize the vaccination process.
Currently, a plan is underway to provide flu shots through a model similar to the Collingwood COVID Assessment Centre. A waitlist app is used to provide appointment times and avoid long waits. This approach will allow us to save on critical personal protective equipment , provide vaccinations efficiently and support the Public Health initiative to provide flu vaccines to as many patients as we can.
The high dose flu shot is being stocked mainly in pharmacies - we will receive little supply (if any).
